Who Has Room For Jesus?

The inn had no room for Jesus.  When Joseph and Mary came into Bethlehem and Jesus was born, Mary “…wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:7).  Even as Jesus came into this world, the inn had no room for Jesus.

Herod had no room for Jesus.  Jesus was a young child when King Herod, “Sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under” (Matthew 2:16).  King Herod had no room for another King in his kingdom so he was seeking to kill Jesus.  Herod had no room for Jesus.

The Jews had no room for Jesus.  In John 1:11 we are told that Jesus, “Came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.”  Jesus came as a Jew but the Jews had no room for Him because he did not fit their idea of the Messiah.  We see this evidenced in the multitude of Jews shouting “crucify Him” in Mark 15:13.  The Jews had no room for Jesus.

Do you have room for Jesus?  Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20).  Jesus desires room in your heart.  Even now, if you have not let Him in, he is patiently knocking, seeking entrance into your life.  We let Jesus in by our faith and obedience to His will.  Do you have room for Jesus?  LET HIM IN!
